Public Workshops - September 17-20

Preserving Character | Promoting Opportunity

The Viva Doña Ana process is shaping a powerful, consensus-driven vision for Doña Ana County — and embedding those ideals in an all-new Unified Development Code. Interested in helping shape the zoning and subdivision specifics that will govern development and redevelopment in the years ahead? Then get up-to-speed, share your thoughts online, and don’t miss one of these important public workshops.

Also presented at the Public Workshops (from 5:30-6:30pm) will be different growth scenarios for the County. These growth scenarios will show different ways that the County can respond to increased demand for housing, jobs, and services. As the County is expected to add almost 100,000 new residents in the next 25 years, these scenarios help inform decisions about the character of new development, where to invest public dollars in infrastructure, and how best to create opportunity for the County’s residents. Community comment and input on these growth scenarios will help in developing the Comprehensive Plan.
